Hello Anubhuti sir, its really nice to see ur blog and the way u hv been encouraging the aspirants ans showing them the way ahead.
I am not very much into the blog thing and have been referred to ur site by one of my friend. Must admit that pleasantly surprised to see the activity and ur balanced, pragmatic and preemptive responses.
Personally, i am looking for some guidance and advise. I do have some experience as far as appearing in these exams are concerned. Presently, working in a govt organization and dont get much of time to study, but still i do have the aspiration of working in my home state. In my previous attempts, i have been appearing with Optional History and Geography, but could score only average marks in History. Though i scored quite well in JPSC in Geography, but couldnt repeat the same in last BPSC (since out of 7, 5 had to be written, and i met with unprepared Ques). This time, my friends have been suggseting about changing optional and taking LSW . Whats ur take in this regard. your advice is sincerely solicited.
Hello ankit,
firts of thnx fr appreciatn my effort.. its a small help to my friends.
regardn changing optionals, i personally dnt advice so.. bt it depends frm aspirants 2 aspirants. U hv alrdy gvn BPSC mains last year so u mst b hvn idea abt d subjects, i wud suggest to contn studyn thoroghly d subjcts. moreover LSW is not dt easy.. it concerns wth labour laws. U hv to learn many facts in it.. although paper 2 is applied.
look material of lsw.. n dn decide…
al d bst
Thanks for the response…
I fully agree with u and i also personally dnt like the idea of changing optional subjects. I never did in my all 4 UPSC attempts. But what is bothering me is that my all BPSC & JPSC attempts, History has not been very rewarding. All of friends are getting marks in the bracket of 110-125. Havent heard anything like 140-150 in History. Have u heard? Moreover in my case, Geography, being my 2nd optional, takes some extra time from my side.
But still, i ll have to see all options. Has told one of my frnds for LSW material. Lets see.
Regards to u……
Mr. Amit, u are absolutely right. I m also in Govt. service and one of my subjects was history. But history is not fetching good score, I mean 250+. Threfore I opt LSW in last attempt but it did not prove fruitful. Therefore my advice would be to re-think about this as although syllabus of LSW is small, but it is now not considered to be scoring which is essentially required for final selection. A very few candidates had scored 250+ marks in last BPSC mains. Upto 45th CCE, LSW was good scoring subject in general. In 48-52nd Exam. Anthropology had fetched considerably very high score. My suggestion would be for u to opt philosophy which has very small syllabus in BPSC & JPSC and also scoring. In last exam. one of candidate had scored 335 in BPSC and several candidates had scored 300+. The paper is very conceptual and easy understandable. Cramming of any facts, data etc. is not required. If u have Biology background, Anthropology would also be better option. Anthro is also very interesting subject. The subject is blend of some portions of History+Bio+Sociology.
sir,
please provide me the detail marks distribution in BPSC mains examinations including interview.
thank you
Sir, I have a doubt in my mind whether is it mandatory to write all the papers in same language in BPSC and JPSC. I want to write Philosophy & GS in Hindi Medium whereas Physics in English Medium. Is is possible in BPSC and JPSC. Kindly enlighten me.
you have to write answers in hindi or english as per ur choice fr each paper bt u cant use both the languages in a single paper unless required.
